What started as a simple "gee let's replace the ugly french doors with new ones" turned out to be a bit more of a problem when I realized I could see through the floor INSIDE the house to the crawl space...so much for energy efficient. Turns out you are supposed to use flashing when installing decks under doors. Anyway, got a new door and after we dig in to the damage, we'll see what needs to be replaced.
